Staten Island pediatric cancer center receives $10,000 from Freemason motorcycle group

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – A charitable motorcycle association donated $10,000 to a pediatric cancer center at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital, which has two campuses in the borough.

The Widow’s Sons Cornerstones NYC chapter, made up of members of the Freemason Fraternal Association, is an international motorcycle association with a history of fundraising efforts and charitable donations. Their donation will help fund the Brian Halpin Cancer Center, which is a pediatric facility housed in the 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art Florina Cancer Center.

“From the beginning, we’ve always been a charity-driven group,” said Danny Calemine, one of the founding members. “We love riding motorcycles, of course, but our main priority is the charity work that we do.”…
