Two new exhibitions will mark the end of summer at the Rockport Center for the Arts (RCA), highlighting diverse artistic mediums and cultural perspectives. “A Field Guide” by Jessica Ninci and “Nepantla: In-Between” by Moira Garcia will be on view from late August through early October.
Ninci’s ceramic sculptures will be featured in the Jeanie & Bill Wyatt Gallery from Aug. 19-Oct. 12. Garcia’s interdisciplinary works, including embroidered prints and woven paintings, will be on display in the McKelvey Charitable Fund Gallery from Aug. 22-Oct. 5.
A public reception with both artists will be held Saturday, Sept. 13, from 5-7 p.m., coinciding with the monthly Austin Street Art Walk in downtown Rockport. Admission to the exhibitions and reception is free and open to the public…
