Warmer temperatures return this week

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – After some unseasonably cool weather the last few days, the forecast into the new week brings more seasonal temperatures back to the area as afternoon highs will return to the 80s and 90s over the coming days. Isolated to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible at times this week, but the next chance for more widespread rain across the area doesn’t appear in the forecast until next weekend.

For Sunday evening, some isolated strong to severe storms will be possible across parts of central and western Nebraska. Storms could produce some marginally severe hail and gusty winds. This activity is expected to fizzle as it moves eastward and likely won’t impact Lincoln or eastern Nebraska tonight.
