Safe haven for trafficking survivors begins to take shape in Dane County

DANE COUNTY, Wis. (WMTV) – A quiet stretch of land in rural Dane County is being transformed into a sanctuary for survivors of sex trafficking.

The Zeteo Community, a nonprofit building a long-term residential program for women who’ve experienced sexual exploitation, is celebrating a major milestone: the walls of its first two homes are now going up.

“It was overwhelming just seeing the foundations poured,” said co-founder and executive director Marlene Sorenson. “But now, watching the walls go up—actually seeing it take shape—is just amazing. Overwhelming in the best way.”…
