Lincoln, NEB — Dani Busboom Kelly’s voice is no stranger to Nebraska volleyball. Once the anchor of the team as a libero and later a championship-winning setter and assistant coach, she now returns to lead the Huskers from the sideline as head coach.
“It’s been amazing being back,” Busboom Kelly said. “This is where I grew up and a place that means a lot to me. Just to get the welcome of not only the volleyball community, but the community in general, has been really special. I’m very, very excited to start.”
Busboom Kelly brings a decorated resume back to Lincoln. A national champion as a player in 2006, and an assistant coach under John Cook during Nebraska’s 2015 title run, she most recently led Louisville to national prominence, including a national championship appearance. Now, she’s ready to write the next chapter in Husker history and chase Nebraska’s first NCAA title since 2017…
