San Antonio Bar Employee Accused of Depositing Duplicate Payroll Checks, Stealing Over $15K

SAN ANTONIO, TX — A bar employee was arrested on August 1, 2025, after allegedly depositing duplicate payroll checks and stealing nearly $16,000 from his employer.

Deputies responded to the 90 Proof Bar, located in the 11800 block of US-90, following a forgery report. The business owner told investigators that their financial accountant had discovered unauthorized transactions involving an employee, identified as 20-year-old Wilson Octavio Hernandez-Flores.

According to the investigation, Flores used a mobile banking app to repeatedly deposit the same payroll checks, altering the amounts to avoid detection and exploiting delays in the bank’s processing system.
