COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Periods of rain are in the forecast the next couple days before the rain becomes less widespread and less frequent starting mid-week. For now, temperatures are much cooler than average thanks to the clouds and moisture. Another one to three inches of rain is expected through Tuesday.
Gloomy and wet on this Monday. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire Chattahoochee Valley in anticipation of periods of rain at any time, sometimes heavy. It will be on the breezy side and cool for August. 60s in the morning will turn into low to mid 70s in most places during the afternoon.
Scattered showers continue Monday night. Lows early Tuesday in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
