Police: Pa. couple charged after child forced to live in shed for months

REINHOLDS, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County couple has been charged after police say a child was forced to live in a shed without providing them food or a bathroom.

Ephrata Police say on July 30, officers responded to a domestic incident where a juvenile was found to have scratches on their neck and arm. Police were told that Daryl Sensenig had tackled the child and put a pressure point on their neck because they were “refusing to leave the home and go up to the wooden shed on the property.”

Police say they later learned that the child had been living in a wooden shed since mid-March as punishment after returning from a camp. The child was only allowed to shower inside the home once a week and was forced to dig a hole to use the restroom, police noted…
