‘Help us bring Katie home’: Search for missing at-risk Fremont teen girl stretches past 7 days

(KRON) — The Fremont Police Department retook to social media on Saturday to update the public on its search to locate 16-year-old Katie Hong. The teenager has been gone for more than seven days.

FPD said Katie was last seen around 6:20 p.m. on Friday, July 25. Investigators confirmed she was spotted in the area of Queens Park Court as she headed towards Irvington Community Park in Fremont. She since vanished and is considered to be risk, according to Fremont PD.

“We continue to follow up on all potential leads and partner with the community and other agencies to locate Katie,” said authorities. “Please spread the word and help us bring Katie home.”

Katie is described as a Korean American female with brown eyes and dark brown hair with braces. She is approximately 5 feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, Katie was wearing a navy-blue mid zip-up jacket, grey sweats, and a red Patagonia backpack.
