A California man under investigation for arson was arrested after he was found to allegedly be in possession of homemade explosives, authorities said.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were conducting an arson investigation Tuesday on Pine Flat Road, an area of wine country north of Santa Rosa, and detained 43-year-old Gregory Klemme. After “homemade explosives” were collected at the scene and from his vehicle, Klemme was arrested by Cal Fire investigators for arson on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land.
On Thursday, the Sonoma County Bomb Squad and detectives from the sheriff’s office’s Property Crime Unit executed a search warrant at Klemme’s residence on the 1200 block of Kresky Way in Petaluma, with assistance from Cal Fire and BLM investigators…
