Interstate 29 crash near Craig injures Iowa driver and three teens

A woman and three juveniles were injured Friday evening after a medical emergency led to a crash on Interstate 29 in Holt County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 7:20 p.m. about 10 miles south of Craig.

A 2019 Hyundai Elantra was traveling southbound when the 49-year-old woman driving experienced a medical emergency. The vehicle veered off the east side of the roadway into the median, then entered the northbound lanes of Interstate 29 while still traveling southbound. The car continued off the east side of the interstate, entered a wooded area, and came to rest on its wheels.

The driver, from Carter Lake, Iowa, was wearing a seat belt and sustained moderate injuries. She was transported by Holt County EMS to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph…
