WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Jake Dunne says Sunday night storms have come to a stop, and the day ahead appears quiet with cooler than normal temperatures. However, highs in the middle to upper 80s are warmer than what we had over the weekend.
Tuesday will be a tad warmer, in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees before higher heat and humidity come back to Kansas by the end of the week. Lower 90s on Wednesday will be replaced by middle to upper 90s on Thursday and Friday, and when you factor in the humidity it will feel like 100 to 105 degrees.
Our next weather maker will arrive this weekend, and while the exact arrival time is uncertain, shower and storm chances are climbing. The better chance across western Kansas will take place on Saturday night into Sunday, while areas farther east, including the Wichita area won’t see the wet weather arrive until Sunday night…
