Two arrested in Reno standoff after alleged car theft from home

WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — Two people were arrested in Reno for allegedly stealing a car from a residence, according to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

WCSO deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary in the Arrowcreek area on the morning of Aug. 3. During the course of the burglary, a vehicle was stolen from the residence.

Authorities say that through investigative efforts, deputies were able to track the stolen vehicle to an address in the area of Patton Drive and Tripp Drive in Reno. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with the assistance of the Reno Police Department SWAT team, responded to the location…
