CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Shower and thunderstorm chances will stick around throughout the week as a stationary front lingers to our south!
High pressure to our north is reinforcing a “wedge” of cooler air across the Carolinas tonight, particularly for areas near and west of I-95. Under this setup, below-average temperatures and a mostly cloudy sky can be expected through at least midweek. Through early Tuesday morning, temperatures should hold steady in the lower 70s, except cooler in Orangeburg and Clarendon Counties.
Rain chances on Tuesday will be rather sporadic, but a greater concentration of steady rain – and perhaps a couple of thunderstorms – should occur in the afternoon and early evening. Locally heavy rainfall and ponding on the roads cannot be ruled out inland…
