Local grand jury issues indictments for kidnapping, endangerment crimes

A Christian County Grand Jury issued indictments for kidnapping, wanton endangerment and fleeing crimes on Friday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Deonte Walker Coleman of Hopkinsville was indicted on multiple charges after he reportedly sexually assaulted a victim at gunpoint on June 7. The victim had to reportedly jump from a moving car in order to escape. Coleman was indicted for kidnapping, first-degree strangulation, first-degree sexual abuse and theft by unlawful taking.

Fifty-four-year-old Gerald Rothenburger of Hopkinsville was indicted on multiple charges after he allegedly nearly struck two minors and two law enforcement officers while he was under the influence on May 12.
