Back-to-school interview with Muscogee County Schools Superintendent Dr. David Lewis

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Muscogee County School District Superintendent Dr. David Lewis stopped by Monday to discuss the first day of school.

Lewis explained that although the rainy weather did not help with concerns of delays on the first day, it wasn’t anything unexpected.

He also talked about the new safety protocols and English Language Arts curriculum. Lewis mentioned that weapon detection systems will be installed in the middle and high schools starting in the next week or two. The installments should be completed by the end of September…
