University of Florida shuts down sustainability office, employees laid off

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The University of Florida Office of Sustainability was officially shut down on Monday, resulting in some employees losing their jobs.

UF officials confirm three employees were terminated due to the Office of Sustainability’s closure. They say the decision was an effort to “identify new efficiencies.”
