PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Arson arrest made in connection to recent Mobile fires
According to a news release from the Department of Justice, Carlton Bruce Cooke, 40, of Pensacola, was sentenced to four and a half years in federal prison.
Court records show that in the early morning of July 10, 2024, Cooke’s roommates were sitting in a truck in their driveway talking, when Cooke came out of the house with a gun and told everyone to leave. Cooke then fired a round into the ground near the truck.
When officers searched Cooke’s vehicle, they found the loaded handgun he had used to fire at his roommates, as well as another loaded handgun with an extended magazine and ammunition, the release said.
