Man jailed for illegal possession of gun on King of Prussia Mall parking lot

NORRISTOWN — A Philadelphia man was sent to jail after Upper Merion Township police found him in illegal possession of a gun in the parking lot of the King of Prussia Mall.

Qadir Hanif Sparks, 20, of the 100 block of North 53rd Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in the county jail after he pleaded guilty to charges of carrying a firearm without a license, person not to possess a firearm, and receiving stolen property in connection with the March 2025 incident.

Judge Thomas M. DelRicci, who accepted a plea agreement in the case, also ordered Sparks to complete two years’ probation consecutive to parole, meaning Sparks will be under court supervision for about four years…
