PROVIDENCE – Smoke from Canadian wildfires will move into the region Monday, Aug. 4, causing unhealthy air for sensitive groups, according to the state Department of Environmental Management.
Wildfire smoke contains tiny particles that can irritate eyes, nose, throat and lungs. It can also worsen symptoms in people with asthma, lung or heart conditions, the DEM says.
