Livingston: Woman sentenced to five years for 2021 fatal crash

LIVINGSTON — A woman involved in a 2021 car crash in Killian that killed a Denham Springs woman has been sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay a fine. On July 21, 2025, Kelli Lemoine pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide.

On Aug. 4, a judge sentenced Lemoine to five years at the Department of Corrections (DOC) and to pay a $2,000 fine. She was remanded to the DOC after sentencing.

On July 18, 2021, Lemoine was involved in a car crash in Killian that claimed the life of Brittany Costello. The Killian Police Department initially responded to the scene and requested that Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office conduct the investigation…
