Firefighters pull man and his dog from banks of Spokane River

SPOKANE, Wash. — Firefighters pulled a man and his dog from the banks of the Spokane River on Monday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m. on August 4, Spokane Fire Department responded to a report of a man and his dog in need of assistance on the banks of the Spokane River in Riverfront Park.

The man, who identified himself as Chase, told 4 News Now he was playing catch with his two-year-old black lab, Bobby, when Bobby jumped over one of the stone walls in the park…
