BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One constant over the years is that children reach an age where they become curious about certain things. You can have THAT talk later. What is being discussed here is a youngster who has heard so many good and scary things about horror movies that they want to watch one.
If the idea of your child watching a film where throats get slashed and disemboweling is common doesn’t sound appealing, Angel Studios has an answer. The family-friendly film company has created with “Sketch” a way to ease youngsters (or even adults who are squeamish) into the horror genre.
The film has some scary moments, but they aren’t delivered with the kind of intensity that would make a youngster wake up screaming. The offering from writer and director Seth Worley takes into consideration the fragile psyche of a youngster and, in doing that, creates an entry-way movie to the horror genre.
