CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Billowing smoke could be seen by many in Chattanooga Monday after a pile of tires caught fire at a cement plant in Signal Mountain, according to the fire department.
The Chattanooga Fire Department says crews were dispatched to Buzzi Unicem USA’s Signal Mountain Plant on Suck Creek Road around 2:26 p.m.
Multiple 911 callers reported seeing smoke in the area and CFD says firefighters witnessed heavy smoke as they were enroute to the scene.
