Man facing new charges after 13 pounds of drugs seized

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A man police say had an estimated $1 million in drugs, including a Kent County record amount of fentanyl, is now facing federal drug charges.

The charges stem from a prolonged investigation by Kent County’s drug team, which pulled about 1.7 pounds of fentanyl and 11 pounds of cocaine from a Grand Rapids home.

An indictment unsealed this week charges Byron Lamar Swain with possession with intent to deliver cocaine and fentanyl and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
