Wildwood woman lands in jail after caught back behind wheel

A Wildwood woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license for the third time.

An officer spotted 33-year-old Crystal Marie Roberts in a red Kia sport utility vehicle traveling north on U.S. 301 around 7:25 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A record check showed she had numerous suspensions on her driver’s license.

The officer stopped the vehicle near the intersection with County Road 472 and told Roberts that she looked familiar, believing he had stopped her before. She stated she was not that person and handed over an ID rather than her license, the report said.

Using this, the officer confirmed she had numerous suspensions and only possessed an ID. She had eight indefinite suspensions and cancellations, one cancellation of her license and two guilty convictions for driving while license suspended. These were all out of Polk County and dated from March 16, 2009, through May 12, 2025, the report said…
