AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police arrested a man who they claim fatally stabbed another man in downtown Austin on August 2, according to an arrest affidavit.
Scott Graves, 39, was charged with one count of first-degree murder. He will be represented by a court-appointed attorney, who KXAN reached out to for a statement.
Homicide in downtown Austin leaves man dead, one in custody
According to APD’s arrest affidavit, officers and Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a 911 call around 3:20 a.m. on Aug. 2. The caller reported “someone bleeding from his neck” near Interstate 35 and East 8th Street.
After they arrived, officers found a man with an open wound on his neck. ATCEMS provided first aid at the scene and took the victim to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he died around 3:50 a.m…
