ST. LOUIS – If you noticed a green 5-foot machine sweeping the streets and bike lanes in St. Louis on Monday, you may have seen “Archie.”
According to Mayor Cara Spencer and the city of St. Louis’ Street Department, the purpose of this sweeper is to upkeep bike lanes, shared-use paths, pedestrian facilities and other areas that are too small for regular street sweepers, which are about 8 feet wide.
