The Reptarium at Exotic Pets
Did you know Wichita has a place called The Reptarium?
Located inside Exotic Pets at 6254 E. 37th St., The Reptarium is like a mini zoo filled with fish, reptiles, and amphibians.
One of the best parts is the Reptarium is free, or maybe we should call this Wichita’s mini-Jurassic Park minus any velociraptor…. that I know of.
Once you enter the doors, you’ll find 55 different species from Asia, Africa, South America, Australia, and North America.
This is an experience for all ages, where there are also scheduled feedings and hands-on experiences. There’s also education provided from experts in the field should you decide to purchase any pet while you are there.
The sheer number of animals was quite jaw-dropping. They had lizards, iguanas, turtles, bearded dragons, pythons, and numerous animals I’ve never even heard of.
You’ll find unique and rare animals like the albino American alligator, which is just one of 100 in the world. I found out the alligator also has a third eye, which immediately made me think of the band.
This is a hidden gem in town for activities and things to do that many people may not even be aware of. If you’re looking for something different or if you or your kids love animals, this mini-zoo is something to add to your list…
