Choice City has been a staple in the Fort Collins dining scene since 2004. Initially opened as a butcher and deli, Choice City was known for their sandwiches and high-quality meats. Since being purchased and renovated in 2025, customers can still expect sandwiches and high-quality meats with an elevated, sit-down dining experience, complete with a full bar and what owner Lavi calls “The Lavi Experience”.
We spoke with Lavi Jaura, the new owner of Choice City, to learn more about this iconic Fort Collins restaurant!
What do you love about Fort Collins?

Choice City has proudly served Fort Collins for over 21 years, originally known as a butcher shop and deli. When we took over in 2025, our mission was to preserve the heart of what made Choice City beloved – while reimagining it for a new era. As longtime members of the Fort Collins business community, our team poured love into every corner of the space – from the menu and service to the design and story behind it. It’s a true reflection of what this city means to us: quality, creativity, and connection. We’re also proud to support and collaborate with some of the region’s finest artisans. From spices sourced at Old Town Spice Shop to oils and vinegars from Rocky Mountain Olive Oil, and decadent desserts crafted by I d’Eclair Pastry, our menu is infused with the talent of our local makers. Every dish tells a story of community and craft – because we believe flavor starts at the source.
