First responders to host National Night Out events in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene

SPOKANE, Wash. – Local first responder agencies are gearing up for the National Night Out this evening, a yearly event that celebrates their work and strengthens community ties.

In Spokane, the Police and Fire Departments will host an event at AM Cannon Park, located in the West Central neighborhood. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet officers, firefighters, and neighbors. The event will feature free food, drinks, games, and live music from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Over in Hayden, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is organizing a gathering at McIntyre Family Park. This event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will include equipment showcases, canine demonstrations, and a helicopter landing. Sheriff Bob Norris will be present, and the Volunteer Search and Rescue Unit will serve a free community meal…
