SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County is moving forward with a significant expansion of its addiction and behavioral health services. The county plans to utilize millions from opioid settlement funds for this initiative, according to our partners at the Spokesman-Review.
Documents revealed the vision for the regional stabilization center, a facility that is already aiding people in crisis. In May of last year, county commissioners allocated $5.2 million to enhance local treatment options.
Now, an $11.5 million expansion is officially underway. The plan includes a new 17,000-square-foot building that will house a crisis relief center.
