Cat rescued from hot car on Clearwater Beach

CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — Clearwater police officers picked up a little furry friend on Friday when someone left him in a hot car.

CPD said it happened on Clearwater Beach, where a cat was left in a car with only one window slightly cracked.

“It’s the middle of summer, and that’s no time to leave a cat inside a closed-up car when you go to Clearwater Beach,” the department wrote on Facebook.

They said it was 92 degrees outside when they found the cat, with a heat index of 102. It was even hotter inside the car…
