Hankook donating $10,000 for thermal imaging cameras for Montgomery County Fire Service

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – At the County Commission meeting on Monday, a resolution was introduced to accept a $10,000 donation from Hankook Tire Manufacturing to go toward needed equipment for the Montgomery County Fire Service.

The equipment is a set of thermal imaging cameras, and Fire Chief Michael Rios told Clarksville Now the cameras will be used to upgrade the older technology his department uses in a few of their vehicles.

“These thermal imaging cameras are a vital tool used in operations where conditions have limited visibility and help when searching for victims or hot spots in a burning building,” Rios said. “We appreciate Hankook for their generosity and continued support in our community.”…
