Louisville teachers put finishing touches on classrooms, preparing for 1st day of school

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The countdown is on for teachers and students as the start of the new school year begins in just a few days in Louisville. Both sides are already feeling the first-day-of-school jitters.

“Even though it’s my 13th year, I’m nervous ever year,” Jessica Galati, a fifth-grade teacher at Wheeler Elementary School, said Monday. “In the summer, you start to miss it. You miss your kids.”
