Dog allegedly hung from tree and beaten with stick in St. Lucie County

FORT PIERCE, Fla. (CBS12) — A dog was hung from a tree and allegedly beaten with a stick in Fort Pierce.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office (SLCSO) said on August 5 at around 9 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance on S. U.S. Highway 1, near Emil Avenue. At the scene, deputies met with a woman who said she was involved in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, identified as 59-year-old Delfino Rosale.

The woman said the argument started when she allegedly witnessed Rosales hang one of his dogs from a tree and struck the animal multiple times with a stick…
