Houston Tragedy as Pedestrian Fatally Struck on I-10, Traffic Disrupted Near Normandy Street

A tragic incident disrupted the flow of traffic and claimed a life on the East Freeway last night, as a pedestrian was struck and killed while attempting to navigate across the congested highway. Click2Houston reports that the westbound lanes of I-10 at Normandy Street were closed for several hours following the event, which occurred shortly after 7 p.m.

Houston Police, according to Lieutenant Larry Crowson, were called to the scene where they found the individual who had been hit by a vehicle while trying to run across the busy highway. Sadly, the person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released, and the vehicular flow was restored before 10 p.m., bringing an end to a disrupted evening for many on the road…
