Richmond County sheriff launches ethics, support program for cops

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has launched a program to reinforce a culture of accountability, peer support and ethical service among the staff.

Known as ABLE – for Active Bystandership for Law Enforcement – the program has begun agencywide.

Crime is down across the nation, according to a new FBI report, including in the CSRA — for the most part.

Tuesday marked the completion of the first ABLE course, and additional ones were planned Wednesday and Thursday…
