The St. Cloud Police Department officially welcomed Jacob Ruiz as its new Deputy Chief of Police during a swearing-in ceremony held Tuesday at St. Cloud City Hall. Ruiz, a 25-year veteran of law enforcement, will serve as the department’s Administrative Bureau Commander.
Deputy Chief Ruiz brings decades of experience to his new position, including nearly 20 years with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. He also holds an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College, adding to his extensive leadership credentials.
In his new role, Ruiz will oversee the department’s Administrative Bureau, which includes the Community Engagement Unit, the Support Services Division, and the Office of Professional Standards.
