Myrtle Beach police issue more than 200 warnings on juvenile curfew

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach police say they have issued over 200 warnings and eight summonses connected to the amended juvenile curfew.

Myrtle Beach Assistant City Manager Josh Bruegger spoke with WMBF 14 days after city council unanimously approved an amendment to the curfew that, in part, moved the time of enforcement to 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.

“It’s been going well,” Bruegger said. “I know the police department has given about 200 warnings, and a lot of that has been our intention all along is to get voluntary compliance.”…
