Mobile City Council candidate refutes residency allegations

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile City Council candidate, accused in a lawsuit of being a Georgia resident, said the claim is not true.

“This is a frivolous lawsuit, a waste of taxpayers’ money,” said Samantha Ingram. “Let’s be crystal clear. I am a resident of Mobile.”

Ingram is running in District 2 against incumbent William Carroll and Reggie Hill. Hill filed a lawsuit in Mobile County Circuit Court demanding that Mobile City Clerk Lisa Lambert remove Ingram from the ballot.
