I have been living in The Villages for six years and throughout this period I have constantly read and in some cases seen how The Villages’ morons drive on the local highways. If you drive defensively your chances increase to 50 percent of not being involved in an accident. But no one cares.
The newest problem (within the past six months) is these idiots have now graduated to golf carts. They have figured a way to increase the speed of the cart and now the paths have become race tracks of sorts. It has become common place to be passed by a golf cart at high speed, with one leg of the driver hanging out and, of course, talking on their cell phone. The time is fast approaching when there will be head-on collisions between carts at high speeds, on these paths, resulting in deaths. Again, no one cares…
