According to Richmond BizSense, Slim Chickens restaurant chain is moving into the former Wells Fargo bank branch at 4020 Cox Road that has been vacant since 2023. Henrico County records show that Slim Chickens franchisee Bharat Patel purchased the Cox Road property on July 23, 2025 for $1.6 million. Patel plans to renovate the existing 4,200-square-foot structure into the restaurant.
About the Slim Chickens chain
The chain was founded in Arkansas about 20 years ago and has about 300 locations nationwide. However, it will be the first Richmond-area location for the chain.
