7 people, 1 child taken to hospital after wrong-way crash on I-80

WEST BRANCH, Iowa (KWQC) – Iowa State Patrol says seven people and one child were involved in a multivehicle, wrong-way crash on I-80 Sunday night.

Troopers said a Nissan Altima was driving the wrong way in the westbound lanes near mile marker 252 just before 9:30 p.m.

The Nissan crashed into a Lexus head-on before crashing into several more vehicles. Officials said five vehicles total were involved in the crash…
