WATERVLIET — The parents of a 9-year-old girl who died over the weekend have been arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Troopers said they arrested the parents — a 37-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man — on Monday following an “investigation into the living conditions at their residence” on Second Avenue. Each parent faces two counts of child endangerment.
State Police said a second child also lived with the couple at the home. It was not immediately clear if the parents had retained custody of the child after they were issued appearance tickets for future appearances in Watervliet City Court…
