Cyclist injured, taken to hospital after being struck by vehicle, police say

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A cyclist was struck by a vehicle on a busy Asheville street just before noon on Aug. 7, according to police.

The Asheville Police Department said in a news release that officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision with a bicycle near the corner of Patton Avenue and Florida Avenue at 11:58 a.m.

Police said the cyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mission Hospital for treatment…
