BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office have identified a suspect after he was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
On Wednesday July 30, deputies say a hiker found a disoriented man on the Blue Ridge Parkway. A Park Ranger was notified, and the man was transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities said that, at the hospital, staff discovered that the man was suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The man was identified as Nicholas DJ Ivers. The sheriff’s office said Ivers had active warrants for felony assault by strangulation, felony possession of a schedule one substance, and misdemeanor assault on a female domestic violence…
