First day of school in Clarksville-Montgomery brings smiles, successful foundation

The official first half day of school August 6 in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, topping 40,000 students, drew smiles, hugs, jitters and new beginnings across the county.

CMCSS Elementary Director Amanda Nicks and Sango Elementary Principal Sherry Baker were joined by administrators, school board members and others to welcome students on opening day.
