The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority (EMTA) will host the Pennsylvania Public Transportation Association’s (PPTA) annual Bus Roadeo from August 8 to 11, marking the first time Erie has held the event in nearly a quarter century.
The statewide competition brings together top fixed route and paratransit bus operators to test their knowledge and behind the wheel skills through a series of written exams and obstacle course challenges. It’s part competition, part celebration of the professionals who power Pennsylvania’s public transit systems.
