A new Costco that just opened in The Villages this week is only a few miles south of Marion County’s southern border, making it closer to the county than any other Costco location in the state.
On Wednesday, Villages-News.com reported that thousands of customers visited the new Costco at its location in Buffalo Ridge Plaza. According to the website, customers spent approximately $1.5 million on the opening day at the new Costco in The Villages.
The warehouse is situated just three miles from Summerfield and about 20 miles (or a 30 to 45-minute drive) from downtown Ocala.
